Phil and I are so excited about our summer plans. We will be serving as Senior Summer Staff with the goal of using our experience and unique set of skills to support the full-time staff and enhance the ministry. Phil recently retired as superintendent of schools in Tennessee, and I continue to teach gifted education part time.

About Camp of the Woods:
When Garland and Reba Cofield moved to norther Ontario in 1965, the area was nothing but lakes, trees, and long, cold winters. Armed with only an ax, a tent, a borrowed horse, and a dream to bring the word of God to the people of northern Canada, Camp of the Woods was born. What was once only bush and swamp is now a beautiful complex that seeks to lead people to Christ and establish them in the fellowship of other believers. This nonprofit organization carries out Christ's Great Commission by leading summer Bible camps to bring the gospel to those who have not heard, conducting mission training, and mentoring those who are interested in Christian service.
